A Montage

When Mums does not sleep at night, she plays with her IPad. Actually it's Pops' IPad, but Mums says she inherited all of Pops stuff when he died. Even the stuff she does not want. But that is another whole story.

She found an app on "her" IPad that allows her to make Montages. Mums says a Montage is just a fancy name for collage. I don't know what either word means, but it makes her happy to narrow down all the pictures from her last trip with Pops.

This is a Montage she made the other night when she couldn't sleep. It's just a few pictures from Columbia. I like seeing the one of Pops and Mums together. The other gal is Raquel - she helped take care of Pops. The lady with the fruit on her head - just some crazy woman who took money from Raquel when she asked if she could have her picture taken with her.

Anyway, even though I never get to go on these vacations, Mums always share the pictures and the stories with me. And I like the Montage and the ways Mums says the word - Mahhhhntahhhhhhhgz.

Resistance Band

Mum's got this new thing she is doing called exercise.

First she makes coffee and then she watches Ellen. Then she starts this exercise thing. I sit in my little chair and watch her. It's kinda funny looking, and it doesn't seem as if she is enjoying it. The people on the TV are all smiley and she just has this icky look on her face.

Today she pulled out a new toy. Instead of those big black things she calls weights, she pulled out this long green thing she calls a resistance band.

 I call it a toy!

I am not as bad as my friend Sammie Sue who squawks and whistles and talks while her mom works out, but I did try to play with it when she used it. Fortunately for Mums, my attention span is about 6 seconds.

I don't know why she is doing this every day, when she could be brushing me instead, but there you go. She wants to look like Ellen Degeneres, I guess.

Here's to ya!

Just Hello

Mums has been hiding all of the computers and I haven't been able to post. She turned Pops laptop off, and then remembered she did not know the password. She keeps the desktop on so she doesn't need to remember any password. She is not very with it these days.

Her computer is always shut, unless she is using it. She says it is her enemy right now, but who knows what she means by that. Then, there is the IPad, which she is always using to play games. Boy, there are a lot of games for free out there.

Anyway, she is avoiding exercise right now by watching bad TV and I just passed by to say hello to ya'll. I may not be very prolific for a while (wow, a big word for a dummy, huh?), but stick with me. I am sure Mums will set her computers free, once again.

Sleeping

I have taken to sleeping on Pop's comforter. Actually, it's all Mum's fault. She hauled it out and wrapped herself in it and then sat in her chair and left the extra bit hang on the floor. So that's where I slept while she watched TV in her stupor.

Then she finally turned the heat up this weekend, and put Pop's comforter on the floor in the bedroom. She says she's not ready to wash it yet, and it smells just like Pops. It's kinda smelly, but just perfect for me. Anyway, that is where I sleep now when I am missing Pops.

I am begging you Mums, don't wash it for a while. I don't exactly know why, but it has become my third favorite place to sleep. My little kitty bed is still the best. Then in bed with you, especially now that you have put a row of pillows down on Pop's side of the bed so I can sleep between you and Pops (or what we pretend is Pops. Then my next favorite place is Pops' stinky comforter.

Thanks Mums for not washing it yet.

Louie Gets Bored

Louie's mom and dad got married while my Mums and Pops were on vacation. Actually they got married on the day of the great snow storm. You know, the one where the roof of the great Vikings playground collapsed? It was all over the news.

Anyway, Natalie and Jeremy went to Hawaii for their honeymoon and came home just before Christmas Eve. I am sure that Louie missed his mom and dad as much as I did mine! But they had to ignore him while they wrapped up the Christmas presents. He finally jumped up on a chair to watch (I didn't know dogs could leap, too! I am so jealous!!)

Poor Louie. Look at that sad, sad face. He is practically begging for attention! But, alas, as it always goes in human land, the work comes first and those presents had to be wrapped. Eventually Louie gave up and - well, a picture speaks a thousand words.

I know how you felt Louie, but I know your mom, and I know she has given you tons of attention since that day.

Love to you, young man.

Daniellito

Mums says Pops is coming back as a pelican. She says they like fish, lots of fish. I like fish, so I like pelicans.

I have been watching out the window for a pelican to fly by, but Mums says they really are lazy birds, and don't fly any more than they really must fly. Besides, we don't live near the ocean and they only live in the ocean. I guess they are fussy fish eaters only eating ocean fish.

Mums told me that when ever she sees a pelican from now on, she will call out Daniellito, her pet name for Dennis when he is in Latin America. So maybe you could too. If you see him, tell him I love him. And throw him a fish. That man really loves to eat.

Quiet Around here.

Something is wrong here. Pops left Saturday morning and has not come back. Mums has been crying off and on, and told me that Pops will not return in body, but only in spirit and in our hearts.

Sometimes Mums forgets I am just a stupid cat. I have no idea what she is talking about, but I do know something is missing.

The last two weeks people were buzzing around here like crazy. In and out. Bring stuff, taking stuff. Now we are all alone - just the two of us, Mums and me.

Mums also has been spending time in Pops' room - something she never did before. Every once in a while she says a naughty word. She says Pops never wrote down all the passwords like she asked!

Again, I have no idea what she is talking about.

Pops, I love you, where ever you are. I am staying close to Mums and let her pick me up whenever she wants. I don't even gripe when she does. And I haven't been in hiding since Saturday! Aren't you proud of me Pops.

Needed: More Friends!!

Is no one out there reading my blog?

I know I am not the brightest bulb in the forest, but I think I have something to share.

Mums has been all busy with Pop's cares this week and people have been in and out and in and out of the house. They are moving stuff all over the place and all of my beds, perches and hiding places are moving. I am hiding right now in Pop's closet again and I don't want to come out!

But I will come out of hiding if YOU become my virtual friend. Won't you please send Mums your picture and be my friend? Please. You may be all I have right now.

Stewart is Silly

Remember this guy? Stewart?

Well, I just heard a new story about this dude. It seems he likes to chew. Well, Mums says all dog, especially puppies, like to chew. She said I tried to chew everything too, when I was a tiny kitty. But that's all in the past, and we are here to talk about Stewart.

Okay, so he likes to chew. Big deal. But get this! He likes to chew on soapy tasting things. Bars of soap disappear right before your very eyes! He even likes to chew on his Mom's razor, just because it has soap around the edge of the razor. His Mom has found him on her bed in a bloody mess.

Really, Stewart. I have heard of washing your mouth out with soap after you have said bad words. But usually it's a parent that forces you to do it. If you have been barking bad words, you don't need to punish yourself! Humans really don't understand us when we swear and cuss. They just think we are being cute!

So stop it already Stewart. You are going to start blowing soap bubbles out your butt!

I'm Not Juno, My Name is Pheobe

I am begging for total forgiveness here! Juno is really Pheobe. And she is the quieter of the two. Pheobe is Juno's sister. And she is prettier - I should not have gotten them mixed up.

Please, please, please forgive me! I am only a half-wit, and Mums gets confused in the best of times. Here is Juno (I think).

Or is this Noche? Oh, gosh. I can't live with you....I would never know my own name!

On bended knees,

Meet Juno, the Wild One

Mums is finally feeling better and she said I could post today. Man, she sure takes a long time to heal up! Anyhoo, you get to meet another of my friends. Heeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeee issssssssss Juno!

Juno is the only boy cat in Mums cat lady friend's house. He is a tortoise shell cat. He is a bit wild and crazy and gets into all sorts of mischief. And not only can he run and leap and jump, but he can crawl up the walls. Or at least Mums said something like she would crawl up the walls if he lived with us.

And he is huge! He is only a kitty and he already weighs 12 pounds. That's almost twice as much as I weigh. I wish Mums would of taken a picture of his paws, but she couldn't get him to sit still long enough.

But the best part is, he drives Tigre, the grump, crazy. Anytime Juno walks into the room, Tigre growls and jumps at Juno. JoAnn, Mum's friend, says they are just playing, but Mums thinks that Juno is Tigre's Nemesis. Of course, I believe anything Mums tells me, so I think JoAnn is wrong.

Rough tongue licks to all my virtual friends and readers!
