Whine, Whine, Whine

Mums has been shutting me out of rooms and taking away my hiding places and I don't like it one little bit!!

I know something is going on. She forgot to shut Pops office door a little while ago and I saw a suitcase. So I have been wandering around whining. And whining. And whining some more.

So, I asked her about this stuff that is going on. She said she needs to visit Jane and Ralph in London. Why can't Auntie Jane come here? Mums said it's because Ralphie is sick and he has doctor appointments. I say who cares. I am the important one here.

Mums did say she is going to have a friend named Anna come and stay with me while she is gone. She says Anna really likes animals. I don't care if Anna likes animals, she just has to like me.

Finally Mums said stop your whining. After all, you are the cat and I am the human. I am the one who makes the decisions around here.

Ha! Little does she know!

  2. Hello Shiva, I am Boris the dog and my Mum is your Mum's friend HZW. You and I could have great conversations about our families. Mine does things I don't understand too and sometimes I have to stay home all day when they go to the hospital and sometimes I get to go with them. I am not sure why there's a difference. They tell me it's the weather and either it's too cold or too hot for me to be left in the van while they are in the hospital for hours on end. The problem is if I am left in the house alone, I get lonely and by the time they get home I am at the point of almost making a puddle on the floor which I know they don't like. They tell me I have two options, to be an inside dog or an outside dog. As an inside dog I get to stay warm in winter and cool in summer and sleep on my nice comfy bed and get food twice a day and an endless supply of water and treats when I go outside and do my business and come straight back in. I get to go for walks if Mum is in the walking mindset and if my master wants to be outside he takes me and lets me run around like a wild thing while he sits on his walker thingy. I also get to go out in the van with them when they go out shopping and stuff if they are not going to be out long. If I were an outside dog I would get to run around where ever I want but that doesn't always work out for me. A few times I have run off with my friend Possum who is our neighbour's dog and we have got into trouble. One day we were poisoned by the nasty neighbours up the road who put antifreeze out to tempt us. It sure does taste good but oh my, it made us very sick and my Mum had to give me lots of oil to prevent it sticking to my insides. That was a messy few days I can tell you! Another day I got attacked by something with sharp claws and furry and we always get chased off by the farmers. All in all, I think being an inside dog is safer albeit a tad boring sometimes.

Well Shiva, I am glad to have someone to talk to who has something in common with me. When my Mum works out how to do it, she will send you a photo of me. I too am beautiful.....well actually, more handsome than beautiful. They tell me I am Boris the handsome dog so it must be true. They wouldn't lie to me.....would they?

Mum said she would set up my own account so i can blog with you and send you pictures. I don't normally like cats, you know, being a dog and all that but you seem a good sort and it's not like we're ever going to meet in person or anything. Of course if we were ever to I would have to keep face with the dog world and at least pretend to growl at you or something.

  3. Boris the handsome, you better be an inside dog. You have very mean neighbors. And yes, owners do lie to you, but not about your looks. They just lie about where they are going and how long they will be gone. Mums says they are just "little" lies, meant to make us feel better. I think she is lying about that.

    Shiva, in Diva land!
